All of John’s eight siblings were born at Heathfield, but moved to Brighton either in the 1840s or early 1850s. I have written a little about their upbringing in Heathfield here.

I began tracing their lives via the parish register info published here, and am extremely grateful to the HFA for providing me with their tree for these Harmers which gave me some very useful clues. My research into John’s siblings is a work in progress. If you are a descendent of one, however distant, I would LOVE tohear from you. Corrections and queries are also welcomed. Maybe one day we will have photographs of some of these Heathfield Harmers!
